Pizza Party
|
I talked about my mad dash to complete this Rococo period pizza party piece for an upcoming show at Larkin Arts
in a post last week. I don't think I've worked this hard on a piece of art since college. I'm so happy it's done! I didn't meet my goal of three finished pieces a month in February, which means I just have to push a little harder this month!
I made these two baskets as birthday gifts for my mom. The pattern called for super bulky yarn, but I used two worsted weight yarns at the same time and got a similarly sturdy basket.

There will be an entire post about these cross stitches and why I made them coming soon!

Working with two strands simultaneously got me thinking about color transitions, so I started to experiment and came up with this rainbow version of those baskets that I'll be sending to a friend along with these adorable little cross stitches I recently finished. I've already started on another rainbow basket, as I'm not quite done playing around with colors.
I've also been working on my knitting group, which recently surpassed the 50 member limit and became significantly more expensive. I also added us to Ravelry's groups. Two outrageously generous members donated enough money to keep the group on meetup.com, and I'm super grateful to them. I ordered stickers from
Redbubble to raise money for the group and they came out really great! And I only paid 1/3 the price a local printer wanted to charge for lower quality stickers.
I found out that one of my pieces
currently on display at Larkin Arts has sold!
I almost forgot! Look at my new business cards, guys!
