RVA Street Art: Miscellaneous Art and Outtakes

Some excellent weathered signage at LaDiff on 15th Street

Not technically art buuuuut... Carter's Dry Goods and Notions closed in 1993 after close to seventy years in business.  The building was damaged in a fire in 2012, but the family (who owns the adjacent house and adorable backyard) repaired the local landmark, which is now used only for storage.

Bellytimber Tavern 1501 W Main St.

Faces of Richmond by Charles Berger 2401 W Main St.

I found this while looking for a mural that didn't exist on the back of a Broad street building.

This ad was in a 1950 newspaper. The address is currently home to Art is Braids Natural Salon, Nur Perfumes, and condos. History is rad.

These signs listing Richmond landmarks cover a stretch of old derelict buildings on East Broad Street while they await redevelopment

Here's a shot of one of the buildings that's still visible.

Plaza Art got some new work since my last visit.
